We probably had the longest car trip ever to get to here, at least it felt like it. But the two foster cats are finally here! I have let them use my bedroom as a safe haven for the time being, as they need to adapt to their new environment. I can imagine how it is for these two fellows; being taken away by a total stranger and into a random car, and then suddenly put into this unknown new place. New smells, new rooms, new sounds and of course, this large clumsy homo sapiens, well, I guess that’s…me in a nutshell.
Now, I am sitting in the living room. I’m listening to “Happy Trumpeter” by Bert Kaempfert and his Orchestra as something to have in the background while Pia and Nora are trying to settle down. I think I read somewhere that this kind of music would help..
These two fellows occassionally peek out from the hiding place under the bed and watch me with great curiousity in a kind of unsecure way. So lets give these two a few more days to get comfortable..in the meantime, I’ll be temporary sleeping on my couch. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.
